Business Aviator's architecture was developed specifically to ensure that you are able to manage your inventory across multiple locations and report on the cost of inventory while following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The inventory practices behind the scenes of Business Aviator will generate the correct accounting entries necessary to maintain your inventory costing method whether it's FIFO or Average Cost.

If you're currently using first in first out inventory or weighted average cost inventory software that isn't producing the results you expect from a perpetual inventory management system, Business Aviator inventory management software is your solution. Our goal is to provide an accurate representation of the cost of inventory while simultaneously producing and maintaining accurate general ledger account balances.

Business Aviator has been developed with an equal emphasis on the back-end accounting and front-end inventory tracking software to provide more than just the tools you need to manage your inventory. Business Aviator will manage your numbers using GAAP compliant techniques to produce an accurate Inventory Cost Report; Business Aviator's costing mechanisms ensure that you won't make business decisions using unreliable numbers. Much of the sophisticated functionality available in Business Aviator can only be found in cost prohibitive enterprise-class inventory software.

Sharing Data with Accounting:

Business Aviator utilizes a synchronization module that integrates Business Aviator's Inventory Management capabilities with Accounting System's to synchronize Customer, Vendor, Terms, Shipping Methods, and other information. Existing data is initially imported and subsequently updated as-needed by Business Aviator. All other integration, such as G/L transactions, is sent to accounting automatically.

Main Inventory Management Benefits:

Business Aviator provides advanced inventory management capabilities that can extend your accounting software. Inventory, purchasing, and sales for multiple locations can be maintained and Invoices and Purchase Receipts will generate the respective Invoice, Voucher and necessary Journal Entries in accounting.  A separate application can run on the server with your accounting data file(s) to schedule synchronization between the applications on a timeline that fits your needs. Business Aviator is built from the ground-up using SQL Server® technology and the .NET Framework®, and provides extremely fast operation and flexible reporting capabilities that can extend most accounting systems.

Is Business Aviator an "add-on" for my Accounting System?

No. Business Aviator was built from the ground-up to accomplish the task of managing inventory for multiple locations and many others with or without an integrated accounting system. Although Business Aviator does interface with common accounting softwares, Business Aviator stands on its own; and only exchanges G/L, A/R and A/P data with accounting. Thus, Business Aviator is not an add-on, but rather a complete inventory management system that interfaces with accounting.

What kind of accounting systems does Business Aviator support?
