The unit of measure feature in Business Aviator provides the means to:
Define unlimited units of measure such as "Each", "Case", "mm", "cm", "oz", etc.
Use our simple unit factor field to assign the conversion factor between units of measure. For
example, the assignment is as easy as selecting a meter and millimeter and assigning a 1000 conversion
factor (1m = 1000mm).
Define a Stocking unit of measure.
Define a Sales unit of measure.
Define a Purchase unit of measure.
Select the unit of measure you would like to sell an item in during a sale or when creating a purchase
order and the conversion will automatically take place behind the scenes to reflect the unit of measure
in which you normally stock the item.
Buy in one unit of measure, stock in another unit of measure and sell in a third different unit of
measure without having to worry about any of the calculations.
Business Aviator's inventory cost can still be maintained in whatever your current costing method is
and you can even integrate with an accounting system that does not support unit of measure without any
problems.
Business Aviator's 1.17 version introduces unit of measure features that can be used to
complement the inventory control software and provides some robust functionality at a fraction of the cost
of competing inventory control products.
