Business Aviator Version 3.03 Full Update Notes (Released on 2/7/2008)
The version 3.03 update to Business Aviator introduces some minor user experience enhancements, fixes, and support for the upcoming Transaction Agent for osCommerce, used to integrate Business Aviator with e-commerce!
Feature Additions in Business Aviator v3.03
- Updated the client configuration screen to automatically select the first available location and to provide a less critical message if a user clicks save without selecting a location.
- Added category prices to the Inventory Buyers Detailed report
- Completed the beta implementation of a Transaction Agent for osCommerce! The piece of software will be available to our premium users to integrate Business Aviator with e-commerce using the osCommerce web store. An additional announcement with more details will follow next week, but we couldn’t wait to provide some information about this most requested integration.
- osCommerce Integration Details Include:
- The following information originates in osCommerce when integrated with Business Aviator.
- Customers – These should be added as-usual in osCommerce. When they’re added or updated they’re automatically added or updated to BA.
- Sales – These should be added as-usual in osCommerce. They will be imported as Sales Orders into Business Aviator when the Transaction Agent runs.
- The following information originates in Business Aviator when integrated with osCommerce.
- Tax Codes – The tax codes (e.g. “Tax”, “Non”, etc) created in Business Aviator are sent to osCommerce automatically.
- Tax Types – The tax types (e.g. “MI Sales Tax”, “AK Sales Tax”) created in Business Aviator are sent to osCommerce automatically.
- Item Categories – The category codes created in Business Aviator are sent to osCommerce automatically. This currently only includes top-level category codes, not the specific category attributes assigned.
- Items & Inventory – The items and inventory quantity available in Business Aviator are sent to osCommerce automatically. When a sales order is imported from osCommerce, the quantity available is automatically adjusted in Business Aviator and immediately passed back to osCommerce to update the quantity on your website.
- Item Prices – The pricing category assigned for web sales can contain the usual dynamic formulas for pricing. All prices are sent to osCommerce for each item whenever the Transaction Agent is executed.
- Added database support for filtering items, categories and manufacturers in osCommerce integration.
