Business Aviator Version 3.07 – 3.09 Full Update Notes (Released on 5/21/2008)

The version 3.07 thru 3.09 updates to Business Aviator introduce highly requested features such-as the ability to assign a value to terms for auto-calculating the Due Date, searching by customer name and phone number on the sales screen, and much more!

The updates also include the usual tweaks, report additions and resolutions.

Feature Additions in Business Aviator v3.07/08

  • Added new navigation options to the main navigation screen. Extended customer options and inventory options are now available when clicking the customer or inventory icons.
  • Added the first chart report! The sales summary by day chart report demonstrates the most basic capability of the Business Aviator Report Writer chart control. This report can now be found in the sales reports menu.
  • Added Vendor Item Sales Orders Written report – this report will show any sales order ever written that includes items from the preferred vendor. The report is accessible in the Vendor screen by pressing F6.
  • Added Sales Order Written Detail by Category report, which provides the means to select a specific category code and report on sales of options defined in the category – the report shows any sales order ever written.
  • Added an *Inventory Direct Transfer* interface for sending inventory from one location to another without having to Reserve/Accept/Receive manually. The new screen is accessible in the Tasks -> Inventory menu.


Feature Additions in Business Aviator v3.09

  • Updated Item Selection screen to recall sales description when called on Sales Documents, and purchase description when called on Purchase Documents.
  • Updated Item & Customer Selection screens to be sizeable and scale when resized.
  • Added the ability to select from multiple vendor prices on the Purchase Order - Any price you have defined for a vendor can be selected-from next to the Rate Box.
  • Updated auto-update of preferred vendor to prevent it from happening if one is currently set. This will prevent the preferred vendor from automatically changing when you write a purchase order to a non-preferred vendor, unless there is no preferred vendor selected.
  • Updated all combo boxes to support “AutoFilling” content using a method that is superior to the prior method used.
  • Added the ability to lookup all Invoices & Sales Receipts applicable to a Sales Order from within the Sales Order using the Options Menu. Just choose *View Applicable Invoices* from the options menu while you have the Sales Order opened on the screen.
  • Updated sales, purchase and credit printable forms to automatically recall location email address and vendor or customer email address when choosing to email the document(s).
  • Added the ability to *apply "Days" to terms*, so the Due Date on a Sales Order or Invoice is now automatically calculated based on the ship date and terms days.
  • Updated the Company Setup Wizard to include the ability to assign "Days" to any terms – just navigate to the terms tab and right-click to edit your existing terms.
  • Added BillName and BillPhone search criteria to the sales and credits search forms.
  • Updated sales search to allow search criteria to be applicable for sales quotes - previously sales quotes could only all be listed and couldn't have criteria specified – now they are searchable just like the other transaction types.
