Version 3.14 - 3.15 Updates

Business Aviator Version 3.14/15 Full Update Notes (Released on 10/28/2008)

This update was focused on providing advanced Lot Number and advanced Serial Number features. We also added new interface updates to include the ability to define more custom fields and attached the new Transaction Toolbar to many of the forms.

  • Added Advanced Serial Number Support!
    • You can now mark items to “Require Serial” and will be prompted throughout the system to specify serial numbers when any inventory operation occurs.
    • Added support for assigning serial numbers to Purchase Orders and Sales Orders, so they can now be pre-defined and pass-through when receiving and invoicing.
    • Added the serial number selection capability to the line item edit interface, so serial numbers can now be assigned there instead of using the prior on-form "Add" feature previously available.
    • Included serial number support when performing inventory adjustments, transfers and assembly item building/breaking.
  • Added a new advanced "Serial Number Detail Screen” where serial numbers can be opened and managed and serialized assemblies can have component item numbers modified and a user-defined status assigned.
  • Updated Serial Number & Lot Number prompting to provide the means to cancel, except when building or breaking assemblies.
  • Added a new Inventory Nail-down report similar to the Inventory Damaged report, which shows all nailed down quantities.
  • Added support for customer "Account Number" field to Transaction Agent for QuickBooks.
  • Added “Quantity” to Transaction Agent Vendor Bill's Imported to Peachtree from BA.
  • Added a message to the Cost & Price screen to inform the user if they specify a cost without selecting a vendor from the dropdown box. Any information entered without selecting a vendor first is not saved, because that information is specific to the selected vendor.
  • Added a new "BarCode Label 5160 Report" that works with Avery 5160 Labels.
  • Added support for assigning costs to Non-Inventory items and having it carry-over to profit reports.
  • Added credits to the "Sales Rep Sales History Detail" report.
  • Added the ability to switch inventory locations from the “Navigation Screen” by selecting from a dropdown box.
  • Updated "Sales Orders Shipping by Date" report to include the vendor number (preferred vendor) associated with the line item for more easily referencing special orders.
  • Updated "Physical Inventory Report" to allow more digits in quantity before wrapping to next line.
  • Updated many screens to include the new Transaction Toolbar Interface!
    • Updated Multi-Location Sales Order and UoM Sales Order to include new Transaction Toolbar.
    • Updated all Invoice Forms to include the new Transaction Toolbar.
    • Updated the Sales Receipt to include the new Transaction Toolbar.
    • Updated all Credit Forms including Credit Receipt to include the new Transaction Toolbar.
    • Updated interface on Customer & Vendor screens to include the new Transaction Toolbar.
    • Updated the interface on the Item screen to include the new Transaction Toolbar
  • Added "Transaction No" to the "Item Sales Analysis" report so its easier to see profit on an item on a specific sale.
  • Added support for the "Date Due" field on Purchase Orders with Peachtree Accounting. Now the Terms selected in Business Aviator will automatically set that field when the Bill is created in an integrated Accounting system.
  • Added location name to the inventory count report.
  • Added the ability to define "Custom Fields" for use on Sales, Credits and Purchase forms! These can be defined in the Tasks menu and will be immediately available for use.
  • Added a "Memo Line" field to the customer & vendor screen so Memo Lines can be associated for recall on PO's and Sales forms - also updated Sales & Purchase Order forms to recall this info.
  • Added a "Reference Number" field to the Auto-PO. This will now carry over to an integrated accounting system with whatever reference number is used.
  • Enhanced Transaction Agent for Peachtree and Transaction Agent for QuickBooks to include some safeguards against blank fields resulting in the accounting system choosing its own default accounts to assign for certain transactions.
